TruePace is a focus planning and timer app. It is designed so that core planning, timing, and review features work locally on your devices.

Information you create in TruePace

TruePace stores the tasks, estimates, focus sessions, ratings, settings, and session notes you create in the app. This data is used to run the timer, show your history, calculate estimation feedback, and keep your devices in sync.

If iCloud sync is enabled, TruePace uses your own private iCloud account to sync this app data across your devices. We do not receive a copy of this data, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Health data

HealthKit features are optional and off by default. If you turn them on, TruePace reads the heart-rate and related health data you allow in Apple Health to help you review your focus-session patterns.

HealthKit data stays on your device. It is not synced through iCloud and is not sent to any third-party AI service. It is used only for your own focus-pattern review on the device.

If you enable mindful-session writing, TruePace can write your completed focus sessions to Apple Health as mindful minutes. You can turn this off at any time.

TruePace is not a medical device, diagnosis tool, or treatment program. Health context is used only for personal productivity insight.

Microphone and speech recognition

If you use dictation, TruePace uses the microphone and speech recognition to turn your spoken plan into task text. TruePace does not keep audio recordings. Text created from dictation is saved only when you choose to use it in the app.

AI features

AI features are optional and off by default.

On supported devices, TruePace uses on-device intelligence for planning and estimation coaching when available — nothing leaves your device for that path.

Cloud AI is optional. It turns on only after you explicitly enable cloud fallback and AI data sharing in Settings. When enabled, TruePace may send the minimum information needed for the selected feature to its cloud AI provider through a TruePace-managed connection. Task parsing may send the text you ask TruePace to parse; daily insight, estimation coaching, and weekly review are designed to send planning/session metadata rather than HealthKit-derived data. HealthKit-derived values are never sent to the cloud AI provider.

You can turn off cloud fallback and AI data sharing in Settings at any time.

Usage analytics

TruePace may collect limited usage analytics — such as app opens, mode selections, completed-session events, session duration, device type, app version, and time of day — to help improve the app. These analytics do not include your name, email address, advertising identifier, raw task titles, or HealthKit samples.

Local network

TruePace can use your local network to show active timer status on nearby devices you own. This is used for timer sync only.

Tracking and advertising

TruePace does not use the advertising identifier, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell your data.
