Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. TruePace works without an account or login. Your data lives on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud account.

Why does TruePace ask for Health access?

Health access is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, TruePace uses the Apple Health data you allow to help you review your focus patterns. HealthKit data stays on your device — it is not synced through iCloud and is not sent to any third-party AI service. You can turn this off in TruePace Settings or in Apple Health.

Why doesn't anything happen when I turn on Heart rate & activity?

Heart-rate capture needs an Apple Watch worn during a focus session, and live break detection only runs in a Flow-type mode. Personalized insights also build up over your first several sessions. TruePace shows your progress and whether samples are arriving in Settings → Health so you can see exactly what's happening.

Why does TruePace ask for microphone or speech recognition access?

Only if you use dictation. TruePace uses these permissions to turn your spoken plan into task text. No audio recordings are kept.

Why does TruePace ask for local network access?

To sync active timer status with nearby devices you own. No data is sent to the internet for this purpose.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete tasks and sessions inside the app. You can also remove TruePace's iCloud data from your system iCloud settings and revoke HealthKit access in Apple Health.

Is TruePace medical advice?

No. TruePace is a productivity tool, not a medical device, diagnosis tool, or treatment program.
